EDUCATORS, EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATORS, AND APPLIED linguists.

As applied linguists, we are highly trained in the way language choice and cultural differences impact communication. While there are many organizations that offer workshops in effective communication, there are few that are also versed in the area of applied linguistics like language connectED. Our extensive experience has given us the skills to not simply teach language stems and tips for effective communication, but rather to analyze  the role of pragmatics (the intersection of culture and language choices, both verbal and nonverbal) which is essential to effective communication. One must be able to make clear and strategic choices related to pragmatics to be a successful communicator. This process, however, takes most individuals a lifetime to perfect.

I enjoyed the part about how to tell a story with data. I believe that when you are able to present your scientific data to a general audience, you are more than ready to attend the most important meeting in your field without being worried!

IMAGINE ENGAGING IN A WORKPLACE WHERE YOU AREN’T COMMUNICATING IN YOUR FIRST LANGUAGE?

While you may be able to state your message, are you able to effectively communicate and connect with your audience? Are you reaching the highest levels of success in leadership, networking, and building rapport through linguistic and cultural choices? Our work as applied linguists helps learners meet their communication goals because we are able to quickly evaluate their use of pragmatics and engage in exercises to improve it. Additionally, as applied linguists, we are specifically trained on pedagogies of how to work with non-native speakers of English.

OUR YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH PROFESSIONALS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD MAKES US UNIQUELY QUALIFIED TO ADDRESS THESE INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION NEEDS.

We help professionals improve their pragmatics, pronunciation, word choice, and nonverbal communication. We help professionals work towards becoming more effective and intelligible communicators.
